I only watched the first performances tonight with my parents
My mother loves Joshua, has never voted on idol in a very long time, all of a sudden i walk into the room and she's asking for joshuas numbers and im like why are you actually thinking he could be leaving? Lol
she also dislikes Philip so that could be a reason too
I mean Phillip does better with the sexy, rougher love songs than the tender ones. I liked his first two performances more than the third, I think, but I was still surprised by his vocals on that song. He definitely deserved the pimp spot tonight.
I feel like both Jessica and Joshua underwhelmed at the wrong moment. I wouldn't really place one in third, it's just that Phillip so clearly outshined them... it's just not even worth arguing about it. I'd bet on Joshua going home. FWIW, though, here are my rankings:

There is no doubt in my mind Jessica spot is safe. Her spot has been secure since the save. Not to mention her stans are going to vote extra hard because she got bused with those song choices, plus Hollies stans votes, and the girl vote. There is no way it will be a guy/guy finale and Joshua doesn't have the stan base to compete with the other 2. I would be stunned if anyone but Joshua goes home tomorrow.

Pretty much this. Joshua doesn't have the stans to vote hard for him to make up for his off-night. Jessica has an entire ****ing country and then some.
It sucks for Joshua though... up until tonight he's been churning out a finale-level performance every other night. He deserves to be in it.

That's what really frustrates me. Phillip kinda coasted through the season and didn't really do much to stay but he sailed through the competition and Joshua had to give everything every week in order to stay. But I'm here for Jessica slaying Phillip like Jordin did Blake during her season at the finale.
