She rose to fame in '09, plateaued with '09/'10's 'Fame Monster' era
And is now suffering a minor decline in popularity.
But clearly there's still interest in her, just not on the same magnitude as her previous era.
Currently, Adele is the new 'it girl'.
Adele is a different story.
I mean just look at her sales, her slayage.
No one has slayed that hard with one album.
But then again she might fade away with the next album
You never really know.
I don't think she will fade. She will become an established artist. No 20M seller just fades away lol. People love Adele. Will she sale less? yes. But she will do fine.

I love Adele. I dont think she´ll fade away, if she uses the "hype" shes managed to attain. Aka. releases a new album (soon)

Look at Gaga's Debut album it managed to sell more than 17 million WW.
I no it's not as much as Adele numbers but you yet when was the last time a Pop girl managed to sell this much albums..
Idu...everyone suffers plateaus once in their career. It happened with Britney after her 2nd album, happened with Madonna after Like a Prayer, happened to Michael after Thriller, happened to Katy just now, happened to Beyonce after B'Day (or arguably ISAF) and it happened to Gaga around TFM. The only one that still MIGHT be on that plateau is Rihanna. It's not always a bad thing to lose the "it" status. If you haven't defined yourself in the industry yet, then losing that status kills your career. If you already have a big base, then losing the status just means other girls are getting more chart success, but you can still have yourself a great career. It's not that big of a deal, and it's obvious Gaga lost it so I don't know why this is a thread

Adele has both, sorry to say.
Yeah they do when they're boring. Unless Adele grows with her music.
Kind of, but in a good way. She's become MORE than an "it girl." She became a stadium-selling pop icon very, very quickly. The fact that she's already a standard up-and-coming pop stars are judged by says a lot.
"The Fame" and "The Fame Monster" have sold 15 million albums worldwide, while Lady Gaga’s hit singles have combined sales of over 65 million worldwide.
That was in 2010, She sold 1.5 million alone in 2011
