Definitely the best collaboration in the rate (which might not be saying much because the others range from disgusting to okay). I like that the two lead singers in this are so different. On one end you have Brad Paisley, whom I consider to be generally useless, singing with all the spirit and energy of a bored zombie just risen from the dead. On the other end, Carrie comes out of nowhere in the chorus and brings the song to life in a way that few could. This is Carrie’s song first and foremost, and that’s not just because my gay ears tend to favor female singers, it’s just the truth.

I actually prefer Brad to Carrie in this.

Aww, I’m watching the music video right now and it’s so cute. Our little Taylor has grown up so much. What I find more intriguing though is the backstory behind the actor playing her boyfriend in the video. Did they just pull some random guy off the street the day of shooting and tell him to do his best to look like he wanted to be anywhere but there? Smile, boy! You’re in the presence of a future country legend, show some respect. As for the song, I wish it went a little farther in the rate, but as The Story of Us proves, you can’t always get what you want.

I'm usually female > male when it comes to singing, but I was pleasantly surprised with Brad's technical and emotional range in this song. Carrie was same old same old.

If you want to hear Brad get mollywhopped by a woman, check for Whiskey Lullaby. He can't hang with Alison Krauss.

I was just never able to get into this song. Carrie’s vocals obviously sound great and they do what they do best here, elevate blah material into something worth listening to. Watching the video right now and I gotta say, Carrie’s acting isn’t that bad, she might be the best actress of the three. On a scale from 0 (Katy Perry in The One That Got Away/Part of Me) to a 10 (LeAnn in Probably Wouldn’t Be This Way) I’d give her a seven. Taylor’s a 5.5.
