I think it's a feminist song, and there's nothing wrong with that. The line which changes between speaking about girls and guys is to show she's criticising society as a whole through the ages for bringing about certain attitudes in both men and women. It's not attacking women who feel the need to dress scantily, it's sympathising as she understands the pressure.

Thank god this thread is no longer such a mess. The deluxe tracks are flawless. I was a little concerned that 16 tracks may get tiring, but the album finishes and I still want more Marina. This may end up being my album of the year.
