Kelly has that Texas accent thing going on so maybe that's why her voice suits country a lot. But even if that was in some way Country, Kelly is still more versatile in my honest opinion.
And for what option did you voted for ? if you don't mind me asking.
Yes. Everyone that saying no hasn't watched the videos CLEARLY. Kelly is the voice of the generation. I'm just gonna ignore the ignorance in ATRL because I know I'm right (as well as the amazing, smart fan base that stans for her).
Yes, she may be more versatile, but the difference is that Xtina actually release those different styles of music, not just performances here and there, she goes beyond and make records like What a girl wants, Fighter, Save me from myself, Candyman, Contigo en la distancia,Not myself tonight, Birds of pray...and mooore. She's brave enough to make those different styles her catalogue.
I do get what you are saying but excluding Stronger, Kelly didn't have much creative control over her album. But she was the one who made the decision to transform from R&B (thankful) to Pop/Rock (breakaway). So you can give her kudos for that.

What?
Rock - Hole, Judas, All I Ever Wanted
Dance - If I Can't Have You, Stronger
Punk Rock - Whyyawannabringmedown
Country - Breaking Your Own Heart, Don't You Wanna Stay, The Sun Will Rise
R&B - The Trouble With Love Is, Some Kind Of Miracle
Agreed, but also Kelly is in contract with RCA and Kelly is their bitch
They really do not want her experimenting I don't think We will see when Kelly's contract is up and what she puts out.
Let's see...Xtina started her changes in the 2nd album actually, she dominates her bosses from the beggining, and of course it was risky but that's the way she is, she needs to change...
Her voice always sounds the same to me. I just dont find it interesting at all. Lacks character and distinction. Its just a radio friendly voice. Very typical TV talent show.
is she a vocal chameleon though? Obviously she is an amazing vocalist, but I have only ever seen her do a few genres
Pop, R&B, hip-hop, adult contemporary, soul, dance, Christmas, even country:
The only she hasn't done that Kelly's done is rock.
But I would barely consider that performance on the first page R&B, and Kelly's never done hip-hop, so their respective genres that they've done pretty much balance out.

Because we all know how Xtina's risk in releasing Bionic paid off...
For those who said no, I think you all are just doing that for insecurity reasons.

I don't remember X-tina winning Idol and being FORCED into a contract though. Unless I missed a season which she was on.
