Wouldn't surprise me if Masquerade wasn't once a Britney-intended demo. I don't think she wrote it. Same for Beautiful Sinner.

It was for Kelly 
Kelly's AIEW album was suppose to be called Masquerade, based off the song Dr. Luke made, but with Britney's Circus, and P!nk's fun house, Kelly didn't want another circus themed like album. So it never saw daylight
