I don't think that's the context being discussed. I sincerely doubt anyone would have a problem with a white teacher explaining the historical context of the N-word and referring to it outwright. However that white teacher referring to, say, a black colleauge or student with that word is not the same as a black person calling whites "crackers."

This debate reminds me of an incident about a week ago when i was at the Parking Lot at a store, getting into my car, when this random car pulls up from nowhere & this white kid (he was really young, probably a 5th grader or something) rolls up his backseat window & shouts, "Look at that light-skinned niggger stealing cars, Mom!" (referring to me of course) and then the mum drives off.

Never in my life have i been so offended.

Apparently any black guy wearing a hoodie = a thug w/a criminal record.

Personally myself it hasn't happened to me but alot of my friends get stopped and searched when they are in a group as opposed to a group of white guys in hoodies, its mainly situated in the police departments around London though ( Metropolitan)

I mean to be fair, they physically CAN say it, but they (I guess I should be saying us? ) need to accept that people have every right to be offended by it.

Like I said, I'll say it when I'm rapping along to a song or quoting/naming a song, but if someone ever told me to stop or that they were offended I'd shut my damn mouth like a decent, respectful person should.
