Yeah. To be honest, I think everybody here agrees on this, just we've all got mixed up with "dance-pop" and "synth-pop".
I should've said synth-pop from the start lol.
I can see WAY being one of those songs that takes AGES to take off in airplay, but when it does, it's MASSIVE and gets to #1 on the airplay chart with a massive lead.

Altough maybe they will end up being 1-hit wonders like Kings Of Leon, Neon Trees, Foster The People. (They had more hits on Alternative radio but never again on Pop).

and I find that weird. Why can't those bands nowadays score another pop hit? "Don't Stop (Color In The Walls)" has it to be a decent/minor pop hit at least but they're paying dust to it.
3 Doors Down, Nickelback, Linkin Park, Green Day, Lifehouse, Matchbox Twenty, Creed, etc. those early-mid 2000's bands had more than 1 hit.
Watch them JLS stans coming to claim their fav's pioneer-ship.
Just imagine all of the B2B and N*Sync stans coming out of nowhere to throw their two cents in the wishing well like the Madonna fans do in Katy/GaGa/Rihanna stan wars.
