I'm glad the tribute wasn't large, dramatic, and a huge production. The fact that there was only one vocalist, that the stage was dark, and that the vocals (what Whitney was most renowned for) were the focus of the performance all made it a beautiful tribute. The understatement of it all was very respectful. Perfect tribute.
