2nd, Xtina's VMA 08 performance was inspired by The Black Cat and Storm from the comics. Because she had a blonde bang everyone jumped the, "She's copying Gaga bandwagon."
Just like BTW had the same Chord progressions as EY everyone jumped the, "She's copying Gaga bandwagon."

Just Dance came out in April 08 and the poker face video was released wayyyy before it took off. Gaga did not get famous until Xtina's 08 performance and you Gaga stans can deny it all you want too.
Just because the song took off late does not mean that it did not happen in that sequence. I did not say that she got famous after poker face was released I said she got famous after it became a WW hit. Just dance became number 1 in 2009. Followed by Poker Face which was another WW hit after Just Dance. Yes there was controversy about Xtina's 08 VMA's but that's not what made her famous
Yes they did. Perez and everyone jumped that bandwagon then Gaga got "The Fame" she desperately wanted.
The fact she debuted on The Hills is enough said.
Three years later She had over 160 Awards, Topped forbes, 2009 and 2010 woman of the year, Emmy Nomination, one of the Biggest tours in history+ 5 Grammy Awards and an album that sold 2M in its debut week
Yeah I remember the buzz around that time, but that doesn't mean that that's exactly what made her rise. Her music was really just starting to take off around then.

Oh believe me, many did. I remember watching the performance live and then went to my pc to read reactions and opinions, and probably one of the first things I saw was "Christina Aguilera copied Lady Gaga". I was like "who the **** is Lady Gaga?"

I just don't see how you can claim that you're copying someone who isn't known LOL. Like obviously that means that the general public or atleast some fans had already knew about Gaga and had started listening/buying her music. I remember blasting poker face and Just dance back in 08 even though they only blew up in 09.
I don't think Madonna likes Xtina, actually. Madonna originally wanted P!nk to kiss her with Britney. Plus, Xtina seemed awfully bitter that no media attention was given to her after the kiss, I don't think Madonna liked that.
Agreed with the second part, just get over it guys. I get the feeling David Bowie wouldn't care for Gaga either.

But rocking fake blood and breaking glass on stage was very Madonna. Christina didn't make an entrance in the music business paying homage to Madonna. It wasn't until her second album she decided to be provocative, take risks and shock people like Madonna did.
That wasn't Lady Gaga's entrance into the music world. "Just Dance" and "Poker Face" had already smashed worldwide by then. It's beside the point if the "homage" began on album one or two.
Xtina's little occurence about Gaga might have put her on the map BUT that doesn't mean everyone knew about her as a result. I did NOT hear about Gaga until November 2008 tbh (i also saw PF for the first time in November as well.) Also,Perez's first post about Gaga dates back to August '08....

Right. I was thinking about this yesterday. That's how I found out about GaGa and got into her music. I remember people (mainly bloggers) accusing Christina of copying GaGa, and I didn't even know who GaGa was.

I think that was the case. I'm not from the US, and around that time Gaga wasn't still very known worldwide (I think), but I guess people were already starting to get to know Lady Gaga a little more in the US. I mostly read those comparisons on blogs.
Like did no one notice it
