Seeing people's comments here made me realize that "Halo" was not really an instant hit. I can't at how their big mouth must have been shut when it finally reached the top 5 in May/June 2009.
This is one the reasons for which I still have hope for CD. You can all me anything but we all know that Beyonce is not the type of artist who skyrockets at number one on iTunes (songs) to finally spend only one week at the top.
CD is done! Halo just started slow, but it's not like it decreased, it constantly gained, both on radio and iTunes. And Halo is a ballad which typically takes a longer time to take off.
