Same here. The most I've spent on one piece of clothing is like $60 on a really nice pair of jeans. The only time that I'll spend alot is on shoes, but even then I won't spend more than $100. I couldn't imagine spending $500 on just a couple of things. You could easily buy a few dozen good looking articles of clothing for that price.

$230 for a cardigan? I own several nice cardigans that I spent between $25 and $45 on each. Many stores in the mall have decent prices, especially if they're having a sale. I do most of my shopping online, though, and typically wait to buy something that I want until it's on sale. I never wear cheap looking clothing, but I don't spend a fortune on it. I have a job and priorities, and clothes aren't one of them.
