I don't think people are here for Gaga's typical formula anymore. See Judas + Marry the Night. But maybe it was the subject matter and not the tune
The Edge of Glory would have been a terrific lead single. Likable and radio friendly. Perhaps the Cher comparisons would have been strong, but because Cher + Gaga are friends it wouldn't have been as negative as the Madonna/Gaga comparisons.
Heavy Metal Lover should just be the next single. Or Hair. Neither sound like typical Gaga sounds, which seem to be working better this era (BTW, TEOG, YAI). I want Scheisse so badly but I can't let them ruin her
