The thing that I don't like about my old fave, Avril is she didn't evolve after a decade. I mean, I know Black Star is cute or WTH showed her sassy side but gerl? I mean I need you to do something more than that. I just can't see any growth at all to her and her music. Let's not also get into her faux rock girl image then she changed to some moe blonde barbie. I mean...
Maybe she will when she grows up, and maybe changes up her look a little (she looks the same as she did in 2002) and when she stops behaving like a 14 year old . Then yes, she will deserve respect. Until then she will remain disrespected.
#57 Avril Lavigne grossed $9.1M from 34 shows. Her avg gross was $.277M from tickets sold @$26.26 on avg.
#97 Avril Lavigne grossed $5.8M from 27 shows. Her avg gross was $0.214M from tickets sold @$31.83 on avg.
#67 Avril Lavigne grossed $10.1M from 40 shows. Her avg gross was $0.266M from tickets sold @$36.50 on avg.
And her tour receipts show she needs to grow up...
Of course she does. She's one of the only artists genuinely writing her own music. Whether you hate it or love it, whether you think it is mature or not, she deserves respect on the fact that everything she achieves in her career is down to her talent and only her talent. So yes, love her or hate her, she deserves respect
And yes, but she needs to change her attitude imo.. I mean, it was good to see her with the pink hair in a era but that's all.. Hopefully she can be back with her Skater image or a little darker

Maybe you should try listening to the whole of her album and not just the first two songs. And your blonde argument makes no sense. So what if she dyed it blonde? She's not trying to push any image - she's said herself that she makes pop music.
