RIHANNA feat. DRAKE-
" What’s My Name? " Days: 100 Peak: 1 (9)
Last year’s #65
Number 35 is one of Rihanna’s biggest singles to date. The main reason of its expected smash is because of its sound which is not only specific to some radio formats. This also another track that finished a decent standing last year.
MAROON 5
" Never Gonna Leave This Bed" Days: 69 Peak: 1(5)
I love how Maroon 5 sounded in this song. The vibe just sets you in the mood to study (at least for me). Great track plus hot music video. Maroon 5 never disappoints.
SAFETYSUIT
" Get Around This " Days: 61 Peak: 1(6)
Another surprise entry for this year is from this underrated band. This is an alternative track that I believe can also crossover to pop. There are times that their sound reminded me of OneRepublic but they are leaning more to alternative than pop.
DAVID GUETTA feat. USHER
" Without You " Days: 94 Peak: 1 (3)
A song just 6 days before retirement makes it to #32. To be honest, this did not immediately got my attention at first listen. Fortunately, because of its eargasmic beat, it did finally grew on me, even reaching #1 in my daily countdown.
THE BAND PERRY
" If I Die Young" Days: 100 Peak: 7
Last year’s #76
Indeed one of the best country singles this year. Its greatness even impacted contemporary hit radio and spent more than a year in the billboard hot 100 charts. Sadly, I am not amazed with their succeeding single. Hopefully, they will release something similar to this song soon.
