But they shouldn't have released the video knowing that Love Song is still increasing on radio.
It was very dumb of them. You should never release the video for a single before it goes out for adds. Point Blank.

My boyfried told me the other day he heard on the radio, "and here is the brand spanking new song from Selena Gomez(me thinking he was gonna say HTL) LOVE YOU LIKE A LOVE SONG"... I was like that song is SO old.
Just like someone here posted that a radio station said that were gonna play some new Selena Gomez and that it was a sure hit. It Love Song. And that was on December.

LYLALS is almost peaking so they're sending GYHAB at the right time. GYHAB's performance may be hindered by HTL because of Selena's prior success on radio. Which is why, a late February release would be best since Selena's songs take a while to start smashing. It gives GYHAB a chance to climb & peak by April, when HTL will most likely pass it easily.
The biggest mistake this era was sending Love Song so late for adds. If it was sent in July, it would have been done by now. Then, an early Jan adds date for HTL and a vid premiere in Feb. It would have been perfect..!!
Selena would be sitting comfortably with 2 Top 10 nd 2x platinum singles.
But maybe they can payback by sending HTL to all 3 formats

Demi stans couldnt say any awful thing about HWR after these... HWR wanna so bad that Demi reach finally a TOP20 hit at least on radios... and they are messing Selena's this era so much. If Selena would get the same support from HWR, that would more amazing..

I think they didnt want to send it to the radios....but after almost every day they got mail, tweets from Selena stans, they decided, that they give an radio add date 2 months after release date.... they thought, that the song will be flop on radios....
