Maybe we should've asked for people's intentions. There's so much to look forward to when you become a mod. You can read all the old mod squad discussions. Get all the shady tea we spilled over the years. Finally the people you dislike can be warned for the littlest things. Suddenly you are a prominent member and everything you say holds more weight. You're now immune to WPs so you can be shady all you want without worry. Simply close threads if you don't like where the discussion is going. And on top of it all you can brag all around the internet that you are a moderator on a huge forum.
But who is wanting to be a mod only because they love ATRL and want to make it a better place?
Well I rarely get warning points so that's definitely not my motivation. What's also great about being a low-key member is that I have very few friends and enemies on the forum, so I can really be unbiased when it comes to decision-making. I think I said most of that in my application though

I am, I put that in my application.
I'm sure a whole lot of people are doing it so that they can finally hold the power their desperately want, are doing it so that they can be as shady as they want to be, or are doing it for a spike in relevancy: all things you said. But I'm not. I do want to make ATRL a better place. I see all the blog posts and NHB rants, I want to help to reduce that via fairer warning points. Or people who feel like they have to walk on eggshells just to express an opinion, I don't want anyone to feel like that. JMO.
I think your intentions should have gone into the "Tell me about yourself" question, right?

Katie, a few sane others, and I.
But I fail to meet a few of the criteria. I'll try again... next time.

I want to be a mod to make this place better, plus I think a new blood mod who doesn't stan for anyone in particular will remove a lot of the bias that some people accuse mods of having. I love music, that's why I joined here and that's why I'm still here. I hope if I don't get it that Katie does. I do however think another European mod is needed.
Wow i would like to recommend:
Fireman25, Katie and Marnie those 3 could be perfect, they're neutral, nice, fair and i can see them doing a great work!
I would apply but i know i won't have the time to care for the site.

Well to be honest, ATRL has grown exceptionally fast in the past few years. I think it has become a nice place for making friends and meeting your future wives/husbands too. I think that everyone here who applied have their reason and stories, Just like a warrior on the battlefield has their own stories, morals and intentions.
I want to be a mod to make atrl a peaceful place and what better way to achieve that than to ban people? I want to ban as many people as possible because it would clear some space, Be real fun for me and maybe focus some attention less on actual music discussions and more on fighting, Which would ultimately make atrl a more united place, People who fight together, Stay fighting together.
Thats my granny apple-may's moto. I want to make atrl a great place by banning and warning everything. I want to ban anyone who says anything bad about who I like in the world of entertainment.
