IMO as a country music fan, term "featured" is generally used if the person singing with them is not a major star, has a minor part or tends to handle just background vocals. For the most part, songs that would ordinarily be considered a feature in pop music, get duet or "with" status in Country.

In Pop music (including R&B, Hip-Hop, etc), "featuring" is done for everything that involves a guest whether it's on just the chorus or if they have a verse unless specifically stated as a duet.

Again, the chart is WORLDWIDE. Just because you are conditioned to think America (or whichever country in which you happen to live) represents the worldwide standard doesn't mean that's the case. Please open your eyes and look at worldwide peaks. I don't even live in America - I live in New Zealand which has no influence on world markets, but America is one of the largest countries in the world - and sales / airplay tend to correlate across the world. Look at the highest selling albums for example. Run the World failed to have longevity in any major worldwide segment. RITD was one of the biggest hits worldwide on multiple formats.

We are talking about overall airplay. And his argument was that S&M had less airplay worldwide than MKIA
