Every unit shipped is money for the label. It doesn't matter if the retailer doesn't sell them all, because they have to pay the label for every unit. Once shipped, it is out of the label's hands. Evidently 8 million copies have been shipped by the label. It's the only fair way to measure WW sales, as there is no organisation that does it officially, and sites like Mediatraffic and Musichart are only estimations.
