I know, . I keep getting angry but every time I get worried, I read that quote again.

The only mildly annoying thing is that the 2 biggest stations are hardly spinning it at all. Most of the other stations are on board, or at least spinning it more than 3 times a day

if people end up calling Marry The Night a flop, then I wonder what word you can describe how bad it performed here.
never reaching the Top 50.
#109 on iTunes.

If anything is up to speculate, is that definitely payola is in between. I'm trying to say that, as Gaga is clearly not using it, she's suffering the consequences. But that's a thing that rolls in my mind so don't pay too much attention to it

The MTN video was so horribly edited. I couldn't enjoy it. She needs to edit the coloring for the videos too. They're all really gray this era, if that makes any sense. /:
I've only liked You&I/Judas videos from this era, so far. HML will slay though, as everyone prolly knows

I stopped being so bothered when I read this:
Quote:
If Gaga and Interscope cared about single sales, they would be doing something about it; having her promote her latest single on the highest rated late night talk show (being the epitome of personable and totally not weird, of course), doing 'round the clock radio interviews getting them to add it to their playlists.
The reality of it is that Interscope and Gaga see this era as one body of work - not something with singles they have to flog to the public. This era is a success to them because they've had a record breaking hit single, an album that is still selling very well 6 months later, and worldwide critical acclaim. Another number one single is nice, but it's not their goal. It's just a bonus.
People don't realize that Interscope is one of the few remaining big name record labels that can afford not to care about how singles are doing. They've adopted the old school approach where they promote the ALBUM to the fullest rather than the SINGLES.
Labels like Sony Music and EMI are in industry limbo. Stuck with changes of A&R and CEOs, going bankrupt, and merging with other branches to prevent total collapse. They can't afford to take the risks Gaga has taken. So they pay for albums full of sure fire hits created by the producers of the moment that will pay for, and hopefully stabilize, their situation.
We should be congratulating Gaga and her team for sticking to their guns and being fearless instead of doing what everybody else is doing. If this era has taught us anything it's that Gaga isn't a singles artist but she can still do very well. We shouldn't be begging her to force a song down the public's throats, or to work with producers like Stargate or whoever else can paint Gaga to the public as the pretty, slightly over-tanned, robotic blonde that she once was. Even though it's what some of you want, it's not what she wants. Groundbreaking strategies like this is why you should be supporting her, not because of how many hits she has. Hits don't make legends.

This says it all, really. I'm glad they've stayed true to the era so far

I liked it, but I didn't think it compared to her other videos. I didn't really get the point of it.

For radio airplay, MTN almost near and going to pass Judas, so at least it is not the worst.
For single sales wise, MTN is still long way to catch Judas wig base on its weekly sales... Some discount would help a lot, is that difficult for Interscope?
