If MTN finishes as a flop, she needs to stop releasing singles. She cannot risk another underperformance. She needs to bring out some new, fresh music that will give her some guaranteed hits, to reignite public interest in her.

BTW is a brilliant body of work, but incorrect single choices have left the big hits on the album (such as MTN) underperforming. It should have been the lead. And TEOG should have gotten better treatment. It had #1 potential, and they let her release a video like that...

Sorry, but I don't think MTN will make it to the NYE performance. That means MTN has to survive for two more weeks, through the increased Christmas music spins on radio and the ever-lasting SAIK and WFL.
And even with the NYE performance -- :
1. SOME of Lady GaGa's core 18-34 demographic will be out, and not watching the performance.
2. Not everyone will be watching the specific channel where her performance will be televised.
3. May have the the song/CD already.
4. Generally un-interested/not everyone will be flooding iTunes at once.
5. After Christmas spending freeze...
Lady GaGa did some really good promo for the song.....people just aren't here for it.
