"THE DIRECTION SUCKS!" isn't a real criticism. What about it don't you like? I find her shots to be very well composed. They're symmetrical, and when they're not it's to convey an effect. There are plenty of matches on action and graphic matches between shots... There's a lot of color, there's action... I don't know what you want.
I already provided a couple examples in the other thread. For one, the shot establishing the dance breakdown on the street. She and her group show up and move to the front. It should be this big authoritative moment with her front and center, but it's a wide shot so you almost don't even notice her moving to the forefront.
This could have been so cinematic and epic, but she spends half the song length blending in with the crowd in some cramped dance studio.

The beginning dragged on for far too long, and the best minutes of the vide were around the 10 minute mark... which is a shame really because its a 13 minute video.
Again, as with past videos, her biggest problem here is herself.

Everyone has different opinons on things. I Didnt like MTN at ALL. I love BTW video. People arent always gonna agree with you, trust me, I know this from expereince
I know, it's pathetic. Apparently it somehow makes the "stans"(I hate that word) somehow doubt themselves and their entire world falls apart. I have no idea how, but that seems to be the case.
Anyone who doesn't like her videos can't somehow still be a fan of hers in their rather strange
world.

There's a difference between not liking a video and being consistently negative like a few on the good sises on there. Not liking a video is fine, not liking anything ever and always finding a way to be negative is pointless and unhealthy. I hope some of you aren't this negative in your personal life.

I'm not even a stan who bows down to everything she does, but I thought it was ****ing amazing. Loved the plot, the various scenes, the outfits, the vibe, the intro, the reality/made-up reality concept. It was great. Sure the editing wasn't perfect but that doesn't make or break a video, I thought it was well shot. I didn't even mind the long dance studio scene because she slayed that choreography. + the creepy ass ending that will get everyone talking. Great video by far the best video this era! Fantasic job GaGa.

Can you think of any interpretation for why she joins the crowd?
Like, she's finally moving into her own, joining a crowd of dancers(competitors?), coming out of nowhere and leading the pack?
Some of you guys need to calm down with getting 'negative' opinions out of the thread.
I will reserve my judgement until I watch it in HD but overall I was underwhelmed. Hope it grows on me!
