In my honest and personal opinion these are Britney's best 10 singles/gems of her career.
1. Toxic (2004): Pure Perfection Known by critics, most fans, Grammys, and even britney herself as the best song of her career.
2. Baby one more time (1998): Will remain as one of the biggest pop classics of all time.
3. Overprotected (2001): When I listen to this in 2011 I just feel the power of this song in her life like probably any other of her songs, this is 100% Britney Spears, Good melodies and vocals by the way.
4. Womanizer (2008): Avant-Garde electropop Gem, anthemic for the ladies and naughty for men.
5. Oops I did it again (2000): this is so past decade pop classic. a great memorable pop track
6. Circus (2008): Its outstanding production and adrenalin-ish lyrics make it one of the most interesting singles brit's ever made.
7. Hold it against me (2011): Fresh, Modern, elegant, sophisticated, killer production, great vocals definately one of her best singles.
8. Piece of me (2008): with an innovative sound, Its rare/bizarre production combining the electronic britney's vocals with masculine background vocals make this a GEM in her career
9. Stronger (2001): Its vibe is powerfull, the music is great, its just a triumphal epic song.
10. Everytime (2004): Written by Britney Spears still remains as her biggest ballad ever and of course as one of her best singles of her career.
I agree with that list posted above almost completely. The only thing I'd change is "Overprotected" and swap it with "I'm A Slave 4 U". Otherwise, those truly are Britney's best and most memorable songs.
Btw, my favorite performance was Gimme More. And I loved (Drop Dead) Beautiful too, even though it iswas(?) one of my least favorite songs on the album. I won't be mad if they choose it as the final single tbh.

Isn't it magical to hear her voice in the room?? I remember that first time I heard her say "what's up" and I nearly died.
And she's sooooo pretty.

Don't worry bb...Britney said herself that she was taking a SHORT break after this era. The report will probably be speculation about how old she is and when she'll EVENTUALLY retire.
I assure you all the report will end with something like this:
"And after a highly successful world tour, it looks like Britney [slight pause] shows no signs of slowing down."
Circus was so epic. One of her best songs. I wish she'd perform it and actually do all the choreography.
I'm tired of the hand dancing. I think she doesn't feel comfortable anymore and that's why her choreos were so basic this era. If she could dance like this in the circus era, she still has it.
