It was Lee Hyori, and she was on her peak. SNSD aren't even on their peak, their album sales are awful compared to Oh!, so I'm pretty sure they won't go #1.

I'm hoping for IU can block it, but i'm pretty sure that it'll be hard to block SNSD from the #1 spot.
The only thing that i want right now is that new MV for Mr.Taxi (hope for a real MV of course, Superman (SuJu) MV is meh.)

SM Entertainment stated, “SNSD will perform ‘Mr. Taxi’ on the December 2nd broadcast of ‘Music Bank‘, and will be accelerating their promotions until the end of the year.”
SNSD released the Japanese version of “Mr. Taxi” this past April while they were promoting in Japan. The single, which was a track on the group’s first full-length Japanese album, has previously reached the top of the Oricon chart as well.
The Korean version of “Mr. Taxi” was performed on Korean music programs when they made a comeback with “The Boys“, and in July for SNSD’s concert. Their agency commented, “Their 3rd album title track has been 1st on KBS‘s ‘Music Bank’ for 5 weeks… so we’re looking forward to the record for ‘Mr. Taxi’. They’ll be showing various special performances on all the music programs.”
SM really wants to overshadow IU's comeback.

SM isn't going to overshadow anybody with a song that they've not only been promoting in general since April, but a song they were performing in Korea since the beginning of the Boys era. Flop decision tbh.

Rominho. has given me the green light to start a game here called:
Best Era
The game is simple; every day or two I will name a new K-pop group and you all will vote on what their best album era is. "Era" meaning more than just the album itself; we all know K-pop is all-inclusive, so I want you guys to vote taking into account the album, the title track choice, the fashion, the performances, the hairstyles, the album packaging - as much as you can. It's more than just voting, though! I prompt you also to discuss so that the game is made more interesting.
Of course, don't allow this to stop you from your normal usage of the K-pop Discussion Thread. I simply thought I'd host the game in here because, to be quite honest, it would have flopped otherwise.

Probably, unless they pull a SuJu "No Other" and sell lots of albums so they can win a countdown.

I wish we got more news as to what happened to SNSD's US maxi single.
I am still anticipating new music from 2NE1. Preferably from their English album.

Exactly, and SuJu sell more albums than anyone else in k-pop. That's why I think SNSD will end up with nothing.

**** SM and everything they stand for. This has got to be the most ass backwards decision in K-Pop history. I really can't with them why not follow up with 'TRICK', 'OSCAR', 'TOP SECRET' anything but Mr. ****ing Taxi. And the new video is gonna be nothing more than a remake of the Japanese PV.
Anyways I'm here for this Best Era thing We should do more things like this to keep this thread popping unlike our fallen sister the J-Pop Discussion Thread
