Rihanna will NEVER be a US star, she will have better 1st week numbers ww than Loud though, so that's an improvement

Why are you all surprised? This is the area of sales I, & pretty much everyone else, expected. It was also expected she wouldn't hit #1. And really, it doesn't matter. Loud still ended up going platinum. And selling almost 5X as much WW.
Her real strength is WW sales, & longevity.

There's a difference between big and strong fanbase.
And yes. She's the biggest star in the world, just because her albums doesn't have huge first week sales mean nothing. I mean, I can't say I'm not disappointed but its just the way it is and one who should be disappointed is Rihanna herself. But TTT comes with a few hit-ready singles so I'm not worried, this will end up selling as much if not more than Loud.

Anyway, this so embarrassing, especially coming off a HUGE era. Loud came off Rated R and sold 207k NOT EVEN ON BLACK FRIDAY. And TTT is coming off of Loud and WFL and might sell less than Loud ON BLACK FRIDAY? A ****ing MESS. **** Def Jam.

Yeah MusicTalker's right. I was definitely expecting the same amount of numbers she usually pulls, so I'm not really surprised. She'll end up selling quite well as usual, though.
