I'm really hoping Katy doesn't discount TOTGA; I think if she performs on X Factor and let radio and word of mouth spread she could hit #1. It'd help my hindering relationship with Ms Hudson as well, cause she pissed me off so much when she used those tactics for LFN. It made the record seem so.. tainted.
But I respect Katy for taking more of a risk with this single, the song itself is starting to grow on me.

Not trying to start anything, but didn't OGITW hit #1 cause it was discounted????
EDIT: and i agree with you that she SHOULDNT discount it!!

ALL OF THIS. just let the single run its course. Teenage Dream has been a GREAT era for her and has proved that she isn't a one-hit wonder from her OOTB days. no discounts, no remixes, no payola, nothing!

You can only buy it once, since your first copy is the only that counts. After that you need to gift order for them to count separately.
I can help you with that. I'll make my followers on twitter do something that will help Katy (PCA voting for example), and get a copy of TOTGA as a reward. What do you think?

Katy both (poorly) remixed and discounted it in the same week to secure a 5th #1 to tie a prestigious record that's yet to be broken, but I'm not gonna fight about it.  Besides, I don't want Rihanna to ever discount her singles again.
Glad you all like my teas.  I would love Katy if she had more songs like TOTGA, Thinking Of You, Hummingbird Heartbeat, etc. Shame she's taking a break, but I'm sure it'd be good for her.

If you create an USA account I think you can do it...I'm from México and I have bought many songs on Itunes USA (but this was long time ago so I don't know if they created restrictions or something like that since then..)
