I think we have more girls than we think. The problem is that unless there's a girl's name, it'll be assumed 90% of the time that each account is a boy. Until a poster either posts their pics or just says their a girl.

Whenever you see a girl in PYP, 99% of the replies are "I didn't know you were a girl!!!! "
