What does that have to do with the fact that it was a limited released film? Ryan's London Film Critics Circle nomination shows that the movie was noticed on a wider scale.

Ryan has an appealing demeanor, he's kempt, he's talented and successful. He's not a specimen of physical perfection, but he represents something totally idealistic. There is something very attractive about a man who has these archetypal, dream guy, qualities, but I'd say the desire to be with Ryan, or a guy like him, is definitely more romantic than carnal.
And how much of this perception of Ryan as an honorable, gentlemanly, young man is just the residual effect of his involvement with "The Notebook" and the teenage girls who continue to swoon over the flowery romance of it all? I think it's difficult to say. I don't know him personally, therefore I have no reason to believe he's anything but a typical Hollywood toolbag when he isn't charming us on Letterman's couch or fighting for Rachel McAdams' heart.
I just think he's a little plain looking. Don't we all know at least three guys with similar features? We would not call any of them devastatingly handsome, or ****ing hot, or anything of that nature.
