You ALL sound deluded to me. Loud ain't that good of an album but it doesn't suck. Even I know there are worse albums in popular music out there than Loud. A lot of those songs didn't fit her style before, but now they are embedded and y'all will have to deal. If y'all can deal with her cutting her hair, changing its color, acquiring a harder shell, and taking no prisoners on her last two albums, then y'all can deal with her having fun on one album.
Fair, but isn't it a bit extreme to go so far as to say Loud pales in comparison? I think they are pretty close in terms of quality, while obviously Umbrella gave Rih the trump card in terms of overall which is better
Umbrella and Distubria were the gems of GGGB which practically brought RiRi to a huge new level of fame esp Umbrella. Only Girl is a gem but didn't bring her up any and neither do the rest of them. If anything LTWYL did that and it wasn't even on the album.
*11 perfect songs, filled with raw emotion, quality songwriting, strong production, and great vocals; a highly cohesive album, if you pretend Flopstar 101 doesn't exist
*Great era for her in terms of performances and image, if you pretend the LGOE Tour doesn't exist
*Critics were behind it

You are lying, though. GGGB had many flaws, both the album and the era, while Rated R was perfection save for Flopstar 101 Photographs feat. dance.i.am.

but disturbia was a reloaded track...it's not like it was a gem that was already encased in the standard...rih had to go back into the studio to strike gold.
Loud has some of her best songs to date. The only thing about it is that all the songs don't flow well together. Cohesiveness killed it but alt he songs HAD QUALITY. What's My name is RIhanna's 2nd best song of all time Period.
The album had Only Girl, Skin, Man DOwn, Fading, LTWYL 2, Fading, Complicated.
The only meh/bad songs are S&M, Cheers and Raining Men.
Well I'm here for dark and depressing music. I guess it all comes down to taste sis. I'm still gonna try and convert you though.
Sistren, if I want to listen to some dark music, I'll press play on a Nina Simone album. Don't get me wrong, I'm here for Rihanna's more emotional tracks but not nearly a whole album of them.
