I agree. By force or not, she is going to HAVE to branch out now. Capitol will only want the best producers for her, so she'll shut the haters up and still smash. I'm so happy she broke the Dr. Luke spell. I had a feeling she never liked him.

but we have to recognize that there are a lot of barriers to Katy becoming "critically-acclaimed" that have nothing to do with the quality of her music or the producers she works with, namely: she's a woman and she makes commercial pop.

I don't get why she doesn't have critical acclaim already. The Fame and Monster were commercial pop and they were highly reviewed.
