Just Dance took half a year to take off. Duh. She had her first single. She wasn't who she is now then. It took some time. But Poker Face ranked her above her contemporaries.

That was her problem during that time. Nobody would actually take her seriously. Remember the Barbra Walters interview where she signs off by saying lady gaga your not what i expected your so much more. JD and PF were fun Dance/Pop Songs. I loved Poker face and it also took me w while to enjoy Just Dance. But really Bad Romance is what made me really really love her.

I'm so glad that Gaga took the route she has taken. I get that a lot of people prefer her party music ala The Fame, but her personality didn't always fit. She would talk about how artistic she was, but never had any real proof other than old demos + performances. So glad Gaga's doing her

But during the Just Dance era I was like "meh"... during Poker Face era I wasn't interested in her so much... It was with Paparazzi (in fact is my fave song from The Fame) that I started to like her... that VMA performance was so enlightening, I saw the ART in this short blonde girl.

I loved The Fame Era cause of songs she performed, the leotards, crystal dress, and mirrored mask and dress, the platinum blond wig, and her being "conventionally" pretty.
