At any rate, I mean, it's Gaga, so obviously it was going to have weird **** in it and the "plot" won't be clearcut. I suppose it can be fair game for criticism if you take issue with it, but nobody should be surprised by that at this point. I'd much rather her stick to that then try to go "conventional" for a conventional song and end up with a boring disaster of epic proportions like TEOG.

Exactly what I was trying to say. No one watching that video for the 1st time was thinking "Oh yeah, she's being sold to the Russian mafia" No, we were all like "Wtf"
All we knew at that point was that the video was striking with amazing scenes & it wasn't until she explained what was happening, that we were able to piece everything together. (Same thing with Paparazzi, Alejandro & BTW)
