There's no such thing as being "too much of a legend" to win any award. If anything, it would make her win more awards.

What? No. For one, Michael won every award he was ever nominated for. And released only one proper video after 1995, his last win. Prince was barely nominated after he really became a name, won a lot of what he was nominated for in the 80s. Madonna last won in 1999, but I don't think because she's above them, but MTV being shady.

I don't think it has to do with being "too much of a legend" but I think she could be snubbed, especially this year. Maybe following years if she continues to not be part of the MTV pop girl "scene."
