- I definitely agree that this is definitely one of the favorite songs off of the album for casual listeners- especially in an older demographic.... this could help her expand sales base fore sure.
- I do think that You and I would do well on HAC and AC (especially after she has started to establish herself on these formats with TEOG).. who knows, maybe there will even be some rock or country stations that would play it
- My concern is POP. We have seen how hesitant Pop radio has been with TEOG (it is still doing well, but it could/should smash harder)... will POP radio play You and I?
- I can see overall this song getting a decent AI and decent sales, but maybe just peaking at #10 or so on POP- I don't know if this song can ride on her name alone....
- But I am hopeful that a KILLER music video and VMA performance would create enough buzz to maybe get Pop radio on board and get some sales....
Thoughts?
Ps: I think this is a great song, but why she did not choose Marry The Night is beyond me.

1. People I know prefer, "Marry The Night." My mom doesn't like GaGa that much (especially Bad Romance

) But loves TEOG. She also HATES You and I.
2. Agree on HAC/AC.
3. I see YAI having a similar chart run as CKB on Pop, perhaps a bit better. Definitely not top 10.
4. This could end her "top 10" streak. She definitely won't get a dance/club play #1.
6. I can't see how she's going to do something creative/innovative/ or unique at the VMAS with a You and I performance.
This song would go 2X platnium though, something TEOG might be lucky to see.
She should go with Heavy Metal Lover or Highway Unicorn (in my humble opinion, girls).
Marry The Night should be single after NEXT single. I'm here for late 3rd quarter + 4th quarter sales. + Right about the holidays + Year end chart topper + longevity until Spring just in time to release the party jam Scheisse to start/continue her reign for 2012.
