When you're a fem you gain notoriety, whether for good or bad causes. There are plenty of other ways to gain JUST the good kind of notoriety.

I sort of understand what you're saying, but why should somebody hide who they are in order to save themselves from the hate, discrimination, and violence? Is that really fair? Some homosexuals feel that makeup, women's clothing, etc makes them feel more like who they are inside. Yes, it does attract negative attention, but that's their business. Telling them to stop just because it might have negative consequences is like telling women to stop wearing makeup and questionable outfits in order to prevent rape.
