After listening to this repeatedly throughout the day...
It's a good song. Not Brilliant. As others have stated, it's...missing
something, and by the time it starts to build up to something possibly great... the song ends abruptly.
This to me should've been saved as an album track. Not lead sing material at all. It has amazing vocals but very little in the way of catchy hooks/earworms.
Hopefully this is just a summer buzz single and they have an amazing midtempo smash up their sleeves to release closer to the album.
If not, and they release Collide as the first single in the U.S... I'm afraid her career
here may well be over. She'll definitely still have success in the UK & Europe though.
Sorry to be so pessimistic, it's all just very frustrating to me as a fan. She's been recording for 18 months with seemingly everybody in the industry, and
this is the best they came up with?
Anyway, I still wish her the best of luck, and I look forward to the rest of the album.
