See, everything BUT the "don't be insecure" line works because outside of that the lyrics reflect the sort of self-knowing teenage commiseration that Hair is all about, but with that line it switches in perspective to a cheesy message song.

Even "I'm a bad kid like my mom and dad made me" is fine with me because that's totally something a lot of bratty "rebellious" teenagers would say/think in their incredibly self-involved state of mind.

THIS. I love the opening and verses, but they have such a build-up to them and then the momentum pitfalls at the horrendous chorus. If they had a power-house chorus in exchange for the current one (even keep that same slow bridge) it would be such an awesome song. The lyrics in the chorus are just stupid too.

I've said it a thousand times, if "Bad Kids" had the rumored chorus ("Tonight we're the bad kids at the party, we're killing it so bad incredibly hardly), with thundering beat it would be amazing. I hear it in my head and am so in love.

I loooovved it when the song first came out but I'm very burnt out of it now. The album has even better songs to offer.

The verses of Hair are alright, the chorus is explosive & great, the bridge sucks. The Hair-air-air-air stuttering part Best part by far.

Also, the strong-verses-weak(er)-chorus problem is an issue with many tracks on the album: Hair, Bad Kids, Highway Unicorn, Electric Chapel..
EC would have been so epic with a better chorus.

The Queen is the only bonus track I use. And should've replaced Highway Unicorn on the standard edition tracklist.

I see, but it still feels extremely awkward to me...
Hair lyrics, besides being childish, and besides I'm not a fan of it and pray it won't be a single (but I'm pretty sure it will...), don't feel like that to me, somehow.

I thought these lyrics were confirmed until the album leaked and I listened to the song

I honestly haven't even listened to The Queen fully.

I sort of gave up trying to like that song. Maybe in time I'll love it.

I like Electric Chapel's chorus, in my opinion it fits the whole song perfectly. The same doesn't happen with Highway Unicorn and Bad Kids.
