I'm going to reserve my flop posts after Gaga sets foot in the US and performs once again.
Its way to early to be calling it off, especially since she hasn't set foot in the US for like 3 weeks now.

All of Gaga's hit songs sound quite 'weird'. Scheisse might as well be the biggest hit on this record since it's catchy. Do you really think that it bothers people that much that she talks in gibberish and says **** in German? I mean look at S & M. Those lyrics are pretty hardcore but yet it was a huge hit. Due to the fact that it was catchy.

People should realize that she is not just a US artist, she is a worldwide artist and she is promoting in every major market. She will come to the US eventually and promote, but right now she and her label are relying on the fans, which is actually working. Do people really expect her to pull in 100k a week? All Gaga has to do is sell 20k+ each week until December and it'll go 2x platinum. It will go 2x platinum eventually, especially after she starts touring. There is absolutely no promo rn and it's pulling in more than people who are currently touring.

Today I was working as a catering assistant at an event, where I served 35-45+ year olds. There was a live DJ who was playing some old, boring music. At around 22:30 he played "Bad Romance". Everyone in the room went MENTAL, started screaming, shouting, DANCING. It was sooooo funny LOL. Everyone listens to Gaga I guess

I think she should keep doing promotion outside the US until mid or late August, then come back to the US and drop the next single. Preferably premiering it on the VMAs, hopefully that would help a lot. It did for BTW on the Grammys.

Idk why but I'm not so worried about her U.S. sales as I was before. I just have this feeling that when it's all said & done BTW will have a nice run.

But no, you rely on fans for the first week sales, you need the general public for the long run.

But Troy Carter said that they are thinking of the long-term, so I'm really wondering what's the next step. They have already released three singles since what? March?

Like I said, they should treat the week leading up to the VMAs as essentially a re-launch with a new single.

They are planning on releasing 9-10 singles.

I mean id probably care at first, but unless it was breaking a shitload of records or something, I really wouldn't care that much the day after the sales were announced each week. Just like when BTW Sold 1 Million, I was happy the day of & I dont even think about it unless its brought up.
