That's why people can distinguish a difference between TF and TFM and identify what they believe to be changes.

Born This Way is just a mess of things...what's the theme? I could see The Fame as electronic, disco, and bubblegum imagery. Fame culture.

You have more of an argument with regard to the lack of a clear theme, though I think there are definitely examples from both of the previous eras that don't fit so neatly in to their respective themes. But what are you going to use as the theme for something like BTW? Self-expression? She did tie the facial prosthetics in to BTW, and the black/blonde fits the Judas/Jesus dichotomy. The album itself is a bit more all-over-the-place than either of the previous two. I just wouldn't say her fashion/image has become that much less consistent, if at all. The start of this era definitely has felt more rushed, but I wouldn't say the image is.

Gaga has so many great ideas/ abilities and so much potential in her - as a singer, a songwriter, performer, and all-around star.

But she's so overindulgent and has a massive ego that really blew up as a result of the last 3 years. She needs someone with a strong commercial eye to come in and trim the fat off of those ideas/abilities, to sharpen them and guide them so they don't get off track.

BTW is an album full of promise that fails to display all those idea and abilities at their sharpest.

i really love Bad Kids, i ****ed up big as a teenager. i love it because i'm still doing amazing.

The guitar is bad ass, the verses are fun; anyone who's done anything rebellious as a teen, and still feels like they're a good person who's been making it fine would love the uplifting chorus.

Bad Kids is one of my faves.. the explicit lyrics will make it that much better
