Rihanna needs a record like 'I Was Here' ..something deep, thrilling, and reflecting of her journey from just that little island girl to America's favorite pop star. 'American Dream' ...****, I'll go write it now and submit it to her label!
But I like the idea of a song that takes us through the journey of her Barbadian days to STARDOM. Actually, that sounds like an amazing idea for her next album. I am officially hoping for her 6th album to be a journey of Rihanna's journey to fame.
I really hope that RiRi picks one of re two songs currently on radio (preferably CKB) and promotes like crazy.

I would prefer Man Down, because it seems to be going pretty well on radio and a few performances can really increase its iTunes position. Plus, CKB looks like its going to end up doing pretty well anyway, as the iTunes position (last time I heard) is pretty good, and a lot of people have high hopes and say its a slow burner, but will explode soon... I can't help but believe them. Haha.

Yeah CKB is doing better on iTunes but Man Down is doing better on radio. I have never been and most likely will never be a fan of dual releases. It makes everything complicated to coordinate.

After this dual release, I agree with you. I wasn't at ATRL during the infamous Rockstar 101/Te Amo dual release, so I didn't know how bad it was. When we first got the news of CKB/Man Down release, I was actually thinking it would be easy and nice.

Rihanna needs to perform Man Down officially somewhere. THe BET Awards tomorrow would have been the perfect place to do it.
Im starting a campaign to ensure that man Down get a Pop adds date n July. So that can keep us at bay until September with Fly.
It's obvious CKB is going NO WHERE on Pop, and ballads are just not working for the summer. At least, Man Down has a catchy hook that people can sing.

Rihanna isn't the same than she was in the Rated R era, which is a good and bad thing. Its good because you can tell that Rihanna is happy and enjoying being young and once again at the peak of her fame. I just miss the fashion/music. Sure, they are nice, but Rated R ***** on both fashion and music of the Loud era. I am still super-psyched for LOUDR though.

not true... Louds WW sales have stabilized in the 50K range... without MD + CKB sales would be down to 35K or even lower i guess... S&M alone cannot feed the album forever!
