I loved Firework and ET - they're her two best songs to date. But Last Friday Night? No way. I actually thought it was Ke$ha singing when I first heard it. The lyrics are also inane. "We danced on tables" blah blah blah. Give me a break.

It would have been dumb for Katy's team to not take up the opportunity to ride off Rebecca's Friday. It's gunna help Last Friday Night gain a lot more exposure now that Rebecca is in the video and the song will probably be the summer song of the year and Katy's second year in a row to have one of her songs own that title off the same album. Now who wouldn't want that?

And yes, all artists are here for the cash. Shocking.

TGIF doesn't sound at all like something Kesha would sing IMO. It's a similar theme to some of her songs, but I just can't imagine Kesha working well with this song.

You do realise the purpose in a single is to advertise the album it is from, right? So obviously she's releasing more singles because they want to boost sales. If she sold 200 million albums and still released singles I'd see where you were coming from, but..

Last Friday Night is a good song, but i think it is rather weak compare to TD, Firework and ET.
But with all the hype going around, LFN might reach #1 too.
