Maybe I phrased it wrong. Religion doesn't cause problems & hate, it's the weak minded ppl who don't have a mind of their own & can't think critically that do.

I personally appreciate this. It's quite big of you to say something like this because people, even when they know they're wrong, seem to want to stick by what they think to "prove" something". And don't worry; everyone here on ATRL has probably had a thread where they were they became popular in a bad way, but no one holds it against you. Unless it happens all the time.

I think the "religious" people who twist the Bible in incorrect ways become popular for their radical beliefs and then their religion becomes an enemy. It's almost like, long ago, someone misinterpreted parts of the Bible as saying that being gay is wrong, so now people think that if you're a Christian, you must be a homophobe.

Don't work yourself up. People will always be out there who don't understand it. And they can't. We can't really blame them, either. But as time passes they will be less and less. People just won't hold silly things against us anymore and that will be nice.

And that's another problem, people rant on about what their parents TAUGHT them, how about taking some ****ing responsibility and standing up for what YOU believe in. My family is heavily into church and religion and I am still gay as a Madonna concert with glitter rain and pink tutus.

 Of course it's a whole different conversation! I just personally feel that they are similar in the sense that they're both perfect ideas (organized religion and government) but are executed poorly.
