"Far Away" is taking R&B Performance.
It's written in stone.

It's the R&B song of 2011. No one is here for "Girls."

Gaga. Honestly, there's no competition besides Bey and Adele for her. I am conflicted between Gaga or Adele though

You have heard Lady Gagas album? A little premature...
About Beyonce- have not heard "Girls", but judging by reactions @Pulse, this might be one of her worst songs ever. Gotta give it a listen myself, though.

So Rolling in the Deep is number one on iTunes, and will be for the next three hours.
There's really no song that's going to beat it for Song, Record, and Pop Solo is there?

But we've known that all along, so no real news there.

I don't really see how they could possibly NOT nominate MBDTF for Album of the Year with the overwhelming critical acclaim it's gotten. I doubt Kanye could actually win it though, just for the sole reason of him having to give an acceptance speech, which would likely be disastrous.
If Speak Now doesn't get nominated for AOTY, somebody's going to need to pay off the damage I'll do to my TV.
If everything on Beyonce's album is of the same quality as WHO RUN THE WORLD? GIRLS x 50, I wouldn't be surprised to see her left out of AOTY, especially with the amount of Grammys they've already given her.
For the time being, I'm thinking AOTY will be:
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Born This Way
Beyonce's album
Speak Now
21

Time to bump this up.
I've been thinking about, so far, all of the possibles and locks. Here's what I'm envisioning:
Album of the Year
(in order of locked status)
1. Adele, 21
2. Foo Fighters, Wasting Light
3. Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
I'm only putting Kanye there because it doesn't feel right to not have a rap album in the midst - but the buzz has died. Speak Now's buzz has died too, and Taylor in 2010-2011 is reminding me a little tew much of Norah in 2003-2004; a.k.a. snubbed except in her genre.
I'm a bit skeptical of Gaga and Bey - I'm going to need Gaga to equal, if not outdo, Adele's American total in 4-6 weeks before I can really see her as a lock. Bey, I'm going to need one certified blockbuster HIT.
Who are the other contenders?: If Cee-Lo gets enough support, he could make it based on leftover **** You love. Tony Bennett's releasing a collabo disc sometime this year, but if NARAS didn't go for Carole and James last year, who's to say old Tony's still got it? Same for Elton and Leon and Paul Simon - although they both did get very important SNL slots. Coldplay and U2 are always contenders, but no one has heard anything from their new albums. Bruno Mars might Teenage Dream his way in, based on the sheer strength of his singles. But if Radiohead wanted to take home their long overdue AOTY, they needed to come harder than The King of Limbs.
Be back with my take on Song, Record, New Artist, and the Performance categories.

Yeah, I think R&B Performance and R&B Song are pretty much wrapped up now. Shame for Marsha Ambrosious; she was looking like she had a chance.

Record of the Year
Grenade, Bruno Mars
Born This Way, Lady Gaga
Rolling in the Deep, Adele
Firework, Katy Perry
Still in contention
What's My Name?, Rihanna
All of the Lights, Kanye West
The Cave, Mumford & Sons
****in' Perfect, Pink
Where are the urban/country smashes this year? And unless The Edge of Glory becomes the song of the summer, I think we'll stick with Born This Way. But does it matter either way? Adele got this.

Adele is going to win everything.
It's so obvious.

Oh really now? "1 + 1" is not a single and probably won't be submitted. Marsha still has a chance, especially if Beyonce's next single doesn't perform well. "Run The World" won't be winning any Grammys.
