I don't buy physical CD's often, so has anyone ever seen anything like this before? I bought the CD at Barnes and Noble and they had this in front dedicated to Gaga. It had magazine covers and a full shelf dedicated to both versions of Born This Way. I can't recall the last time I saw this, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
Yes, they usually do that with new releases, especially from "big-name" artists. I remember they did it with The Fame Monster too.
This album has sold out at my local walmart, according to the worker. I went at 7:10am before work. MAN, I didn't think she was that popular here.
I think I will simply buy the standard version and not the special edition until I go to Japan in July. The Japanese version tends to have more tracks.
