So we should compare an urban-ish song to electropop/dance singles?I think you or someone else said the same thing in the iTunes thread and compared her to Ke$ha. All of those Gaga,Xtina,Britney singles were actually hyped, all of them had huge Top 40 Pop radio support (even Xtina's single had huge pop support in few 1st weeks). And we all know that Top 40 radio attracts biggest number of iTunes buyers. Ke$ha's singles attracts teenage buyers that will buy her single without even listening to it.
There is no denying that Beyonce's single isn't doing exactly good but please don't compare her to other pop girls. If Run the World (Girls) was actually dance or pop single you could compare them but since it's not please let's not go there.
