Charmbracelet was Mariah first album under def jam and it was her most critically acclaimed album since "Glitter" I never understood why that album was so unsystematic in a way, I liked some of the songs on the album but def jam could have done a better job with it.

I think "You Had Your Chance" or "You Got Me" should have been the first single released off that album

they were pretty slack with that album knowing that it was her first album under def jam

I agree with you about it being unsystematic. But my fav songs are: Bringing On The Heartbreak, Subtle Invitation, The One.

Whenever Mariah covers a classic rock song it is AMAZING! I mean think about it, Open Arms, Against All Odds, Bringin' On The Heartbreak, I Wanna Know What Love Is, etc. I can't even know what to say, I hope she does at least one track like this on the 14th album.

Yes, all those are amazing. And IMO they're better than the originals (not just because it is Mariah). What rock classic do you want her to cover next?

I agree that they are better than the original, they have more soul and emotion put into them. And to be honest I don't really know! I'm not really a rock fan so I don't really know many songs but I'm sure she'd be great. I wanna hear someone do a cover of "Pour Some Sugar On Me" but I think it would be better suited to Xtina's personality haha.

I don't know "Suspicious Minds". Possibly "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" but I think it should be left untouched, I don't want her to get backlash for that. I don't think "Wild Horses" is for her. But the best cover of that song is by The Sundays. It's beautiful.

I'd actually be curious to hear her sing a song like "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. I personally don't care for the song but I think she could do wonders with it.
