Music World Music/Columbia Records will release the fourth full-length studio album from the 16-time Grammy and international superstar and cultural icon Beyoncé on June, 21st. 2011
One of 2011's most hotly anticipated new album releases, Beyoncé’s as-yet-untitled upcoming album marks the artist's first new studio collection since the record Grammy-winning and multi-platinum-selling I Am… Sasha Fierce went #1 on charts around the world shortly after its international release on November 18th. 2008, which sold over 7 million copies worldwide and spawned international number one singles If I Were a Boy, Single Ladies, Halo, & Sweet Dreams.
Beyoncé’s fans will get their first glimpse of the artist's new album with the release of her new single on May 8th. The first single is influenced by the music of legendary artist Fela Kuti, as she pays tribute to the African Queens.
With all songs co-written and co-produced by Beyoncé, the artist's fourth studio album is her most diverse album to date with her incorporating all of her favorite genres of music, from her traditional R&B roots, to pop, jazz, rock and even soca.
As reported earlier, Beyoncé will be headlining the Glastonbury Music Festival on June 26th. and fans can expect to hear new material from the singer. Promo dates and other information to be released soon.
