Hi guys, I'm new here. :^)
I have been a fan of Beyonce since Destiny's Child but I did not become obsessed until the IASF era. I do not have a preference as far as album/songs go because I tend to like them all.

BUT, the majority of Beyonce's songs I won't even bother with the studio version once I hear it's live rendition

I find myself on Youtube listening to live version of Bey performances a lot more than I listen to the studio version.  |

B'Day was amazing, blah blah blah, but outside of Irreplaceable, Listen, Resentment, Deja Vu, and Get Me Bodied, it is forgettable. The stans know songs like Kitty Kat and Suga Mama, the average person does not. I can't at them saying The Sasha Fierce side wasn't as fierce, FIRST OF ****ING ALL, she is Beyonce not Rihanna, so if they were expecting some GGGB type **** from a 28 (at the time) year old woman then it's time they turn in their stans cards. Give the bitch room to try something new because she said she would. Single Ladies, Radio, Sweet Dreams, Diva, and Ego ALONE **** on B'Day for me and I would never sit here and lie. The first time I heard the album EVERYTHING sounded like a single to me, especially Ego and Diva. They cannot give me reasons why B'Day ***** on IASF because there are none. As far as the I Am side goes, they are either too young, or too caught up in beats to understand the vulnerability and innocence in a newly married woman. She loves ballads and she loves Barbra Streisand, so any cultures person knew what type of beautiful ballads were coming and I love them all. She played BOTH parts and all age groups and it worked out perfectly for her which is why it sold more than B'Day did in the end.  |

gosh, 'im so exhausted after ready all those fight pages between bday and IASF .... i don't think we need to choose wich one is the best one, yall know we all have something for a song in Bday or IASF because lyrics give us goosebump or remind us from something we went through, so everyone has his opinion but we shouldn't fight for this, because the only thing that matter is that we all love and support the same wonderful woman.   |

She played BOTH parts and all age groups and it worked out perfectly for her which is why it sold more than B'Day did in the end. | The "Sasha Fierce" side was without a doubt more adventurous and fierce than the majority of B'Day. I think most of us can agree on that.

The problem, for me, lies within the I Am side. It almost seemed like Bey was trying to say "Hey everybody, look at me! Look how serious and deep I can be!" It almost felt a little contrived. The two exceptions were If I Were a Boy and That's Why You're Beautiful, which were imo her best ballads to date.

Rolling Stone says it perfectly:

How can you say anything what Bey said on the I Am side is contrived? Do you know her thoughts behind the actual lyric? Do you know her feelings behind these lyric? No you don't, stop thinking you know more while it's not possible.    |
