A sold out tour and 3 #1's is very impressive, but it doesn't change the fact that she should be selling more.
She has, what? A 4x platinum single (coming for 5x Platinum), a 3x Platinum single and another 3x platinum single (coming for 4x platinum).
She should have sold 2 mill already. And its alright if she hasnt, but if she doesnt in the long run...thats sad.
BINGO!!!
People have buying the singles from her mostly, It's either people buy the single or check out the album. But I don't see what's the problem, she is selling well now.
You shouldnt want E.T. to hit #1, it will make the album sales look pitiful.
They already are :-/ but see it this way: 4th #1's (+ LFN waiting) + 1 #1 ft Rih from re-release (at very least) + the album will end @ 2xPlatinum (with a strong re-release obviously ) + a Good Tour
4+ million for Cali Gurls , and 3+ for TD and Firework ? So with just 3 singles she's sold over 10 million tracks , if she releases Last Friday Night next I bet she gets well over 15 million , plus with a rerelease ..
Its actually not ironic.
Rihanna came off of a bad era, she's gonna be crossing one-million in two weeks, 2 months faster than Katy, and she has only had 2 #1's, which were no where near as big as any of Katy's.

She still came off of LTWYL, which is arguably bigger than all of Katy's singles

Did you forget about the fact that Rihanna has been around for 5 years (bigger fanbase) & she released during the holidays?
Katy's last era ends with a flop and a moderate hits, pretty much the same as Rihanna. Katy had no hype with this album. Rihanna came off LTWYL (one of the biggest hit in 2010)Your point?
Yeah , releasing in the summer , and releasing in the holidays makes a big difference . Had LOUD been put up against Teenage Dream I'm confident it would have lost .
