I live in the same time zone that the grammys are happening, and there TAPED DELAYED by three hours for us. But lucky, I get CBS out of Detriot as well so I can watch them live.
Yes, but I want them to be stable. Like for a week. I want her to top the Hot 100 at least 2 weeks in a row!
I can see this being #1 for a few weeks. Most of the young crowd have never heard any Madonna songs, so this sounds new. All my friends love it. And nothing major is coming out, until Britney releases her album next month. (Unless I've forgotten something.)
She will. Her airplay is rapidly gaining which will immediately back-up her drop in downloads on iTunes.
I hope so. But you know, some songs will eventually get to #1 on iTunes and also have huge airplay, those are my worries. I hope she has pre-taped Ellen and it airs late February/early March. She'll be busy by then so another performance wouldn't be bad .

Her 60 minutes interview, The Grammys, Good Morning America and Jay Leno are enough for it to maintain its lead. And like HollywoodForever said, there won't be any major songs released in the next couple of weeks, there won't be any threat whatsoever.
